About Underwater Vision

Underwater Vision is a local, family-owned dive resort located on the beautiful island of Utila. The Cooper family has been taking divers underwater for more than 30 years. Over the years, they have expanded their dive operation into the beautiful, spacious, and friendly resort that it is today. The Cooper's welcome you to Underwater Vision!

Underwater Vision is the only dive shop on the island of Utila featuring a combination of dive operations, classrooms, hotels, and private beach-area all on the same property. While most guests of Underwater Vision participate in scuba diving, many also stay just to relax and enjoy the resort itself. You may want to lounge in one of our many hammocks, get some sun on our private over-the-water sun deck, or perhaps play volleyball on our own beach volleyball court. There are 3 hotels on the resort, and you can read more about them below or by clicking the 'accommodations' link in the menu on the left.

PADI Scuba Instruction

Underwater Vision provides top quality PADI scuba instruction. Never tried scuba diving before? Try it for your first time by participating in a half-day PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience. Ready to be certified to dive anywhere in the world? Take our 4-day PADI Open Water Diver course.

Already a certified Open Water diver? Then why not increase your skills by taking one of the many PADI Adventure dives that we offer or even dive right into a PADI speciality course. If you have 3 days to spare, then the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is for you.

Ready to take it to the next level? Become a leader among your dive buddies and take the PADI Rescue Diver course. When you complete the rescue diver course you are prepared to take diving to the professional level with the PADI Divemaster course.

Accommodations

Underwater Vision features three waterfront hotels, catering to both budget travellers and those looking for a little bit more. All rooms include access to the following: daily maid service, a shared kitchen, private waterfront beach area, beach volleyball court, hammocks, dock with sundeck, and spectacular sunsets.

Free accommodation in either Hotel Trudy or Laguna del Mar is provided for the duration of any of the Open Water, Advanced Open Water, or Rescue dive courses.
